Georgia Gale-Grant to take over as President of the Oxford chapter
Posted by Philippe Bradley, President and Founder
The recent restructuring of TTH created a set of four regional governing bodies, all working together under an international Executive Management Team. I’ve been asked to lead the European region, and regrettably I can’t occupy both the COO Europe position and my current role as President of the Oxford chapter.
Georgia Gale-Grant, the Oxford chapter’s current Editor in Chief, will therefore be taking over from me in leading the Oxford chapter to bigger and better things. I thoroughly envy her, as the role is poised to become very engaging and interesting, very soon, as the chapter starts writing for the Spring 2007 issue and organising a whole raft of other events for the Oxford students body and public.
There will be a transition period as she takes up the reins, but there’s no doubt that her extraordinary dedication to OxTTH so far, as well as her natural leadership skills and general aptitude, will not only make the transition swift and painless, but will ensure great things for the chapter in the year to come. It would be futile for me to wish her luck; she most certainly doesn’t need it.
TTH Undergoes Restructuring
Posted by Philippe Bradley, President and Founder
The Triple Helix has completed it’s review of its structure and announced a new organisational plan designed to give TTH the flexibility and scalability it needs in order to achieve its international ambitions.
The new plan does away with the current “US” and “International” bipartite chapter grouping, replacing it instead with four regional networks - North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The regional networks governing bodies, which will coordinate the region’s chapters, answer to a central Board of Directors.
Editing, Production and ePublishing remain centralised, ensuring coordinated efforts across the whole organisation. Recruitment to the various new positions is now underway.
A diagram of the new structure, complete with notes and a timeline for the transition to the new structure, is available on request (email address on the Contacts page)
